Reconstructed vehicles must be restored to their original operating condition as designed by the vehicle manufacturer and must conform to the original manufacturer’s specifications and appearance. This includes (but is not limited to) air bags, seat belt/restraint systems, emissions components, etc.

All reconstructed vehicles must undergo the initial enhanced safety inspection to ensure the vehicle is in compliance with all equipment and inspection requirements.  If the vehicle passes the initial inspection, all documentation will be submitted online to PennDOT for approval. If we can process your paperwork online, both inspections will be done and you can drive your vehicle home with current registration in hand. You will receive your title from PennDOT via mail.

If we cannot process your paperwork online and it has to be submitted to PennDOT, you will have to wait to receive the title and registration via mail until you can legally operate the vehicle on the road. After you have received all documents from PennDOT the second inspection can be completed.
